Complete Golf Club Sets – What You Will Find

If you are looking for complete golf sets instead of individual irons, it is likely you are either a beginner or have worn your previous set out by over use!

When choosing a new set, you should make sure you follow a few basics, whether you are looking at cheap golf sets or the more expensive ones.

It is probably not advisable to spend a lot if you are looking for beginner golf clubs. Even if they are in the lower price bracket, you need to be comfortable with your choice in terms of looks and feel. If the clubs are uncomfortable to handle and you think they look rubbish, psychologically you’ll already feel you don’t stand a chance at playing well and feel inhibited.

You should also look for complete golf sets that suit your needs. As a beginner you really don’t need to get a 16 club set when a 14 set will do, and this will be less confusing as well. It is only when you are an experienced golfer that the larger set makes more sense.

The basics should always be included in set, i.e. a bag and a minimum of two wedges (a pitching and a sand wedge). There should be six irons 2-7, a driver, hybrid, putter and three woods (3, 5 and 7). Putters are often sold separately.

Of course you can buy the clubs separately, but this tends to cost more per club than buying a complete golf club set. Buying a set is cheaper per club and all the clubs will feel the same. As for cost, you can get cheap golf club sets from as little as $70 or for a high quality set, a great deal more. The cost obviously will depend on the quality, brand and size of the set. Personally, I’d say don’t go for the cheapest or the most expensive, but you should spend over $300 for a reasonable set if you are serious about your golf.
